About My Biggart Family Tree
HELLO! This is my family tree to the best of my knowledge....no promises or
guarantees that all of the information is perfectly correct! It's a
constantly evolving work in progress! This has become, for me, a labour of love. At
first, when I started, I just did a google search for my maiden name. I found some
information and then I contacted a cousin, with whom I had never spoken hoping she
would have some more information (and also hoping she would share her information!!)
and so it went after that. She did share! Alot! I now look at genealogy like I
look at putting a puzzle together. Finding that ONE piece! The missing piece and
then it all comes together.
Check out the photos in the album, take your time, and email me if you have any info
that you'd like added or info that needs correction...and a BIG thank you to
everybody who has helped me in my "quest". Especially my husband, Mark. He's pretty
patient when a few minutes turns into an hour (or two)!! This family search stuff
can be addictive!! One thing that I have discovered in my searches is that
Mennonites gave their children surnames that had a meaning or served a purpose
rather than all of the children just taking the husband's surname. Also some of the
boys were given the wife's maiden name as a surname so that line would continue on.
Sometimes there were second marriages which joined 2 families with different last
names together and then there were children born from the second marriage too.
There could be a number of children in the same household with different surnames
between them all. Makes it more difficult to search, but also keeps searching
interesting! Please sign the guest book so that I know you were here!! Keep
smiling ..... and thanks for dropping by.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthday and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
